After the tournament, they received a letter from the president of the African Baseball Federation asking them to create an organization called "Friends of African Baseball" and continue to support African baseball after returning home.February 1997: Appointed Shinya Tomonari as coach of the Ghana National Baseball Team.In December 1996 , Representative Tomonari was assigned to Ghana and met the Ghana National Baseball Team.
