Uganda has a long-standing relationship with J-ABS, including the implementation of a project to invite Ugandan youth baseball teams in 2004, during the founding period of the African Baseball Friends Association, the predecessor organization of J-ABS. Furthermore, the planned and continuous dispatch of baseball coaches by JICA has contributed to the spread of Japanese-style baseball culture. As a result, excellent players have been produced, and the Dodgers have established an academy, indicating development. However, the spirit of good old Japanese-style baseball is gradually being lost, and in order to revitalize it, J-ABS will hold a Baseballership® seminar in Kampala in November 2025.
