Kenshin Kawakami is giving online pitching lessons to baseball players in Tanzania, his second African country! The "African Koshien" was featured on TV Asahi's "Hodo Station."

As part of the "Africa 55 Koshien Project" implemented by the Africa Baseball & Softball Promotion Foundation (J-ABS, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shinya Tomonari), former Major League Baseball player and J-ABS special coach Kenshin Kawakami conducted online pitching instruction for baseball players in Tanzania from Japan on August 1, 2022. This was the second country in Africa where Kawakami provided online instruction to players, following Nigeria in May. This time, the "Dar es Salaam Koshien Stadium" in Dar es Salaam, the economic capital of Tanzania, was connected online with Nagoya, where Kawakami is located, and he provided live instruction to a total of four young baseball players.
